The agreement between you and the operator of Saul. It is written to match what the software does; where they differ, tell us and the page or the software will be corrected.
Who you are dealing with
Saul is operated by Rijak Arora, an individual based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is not a law firm. Contact details are on the contact page.
What Saul is, and is not
Saul is a research tool for Indian statutory law. It finds provisions, shows their text, and can explain what it has found.
It does not give legal advice. Explanations are generated by a language model from the provisions retrieved for your question, and every section number is checked against that text. They can still be incomplete or wrong. Statutory text reflects what India Code published when it was collected and may not include the latest amendment. Nothing here creates a lawyer–client relationship. Verify against the official source, and take advice from an advocate, before relying on anything for a real matter.
Free and Pro
Reading the law is always free and unlimited: searching, browsing, citation lookup and the full text of every section. What is limited is generation, because each explanation costs money to produce.

Allowances are per calendar month and start again on the 1st (UTC).
Paying for Pro
- An account is required. Pro belongs to your account, so it follows you to any device and survives clearing your browser.
- Price. Pro is ₹499 a month, as listed on the pricing page. It is shown again in the Razorpay checkout, where you approve it, and charged in Indian rupees.
- Billing. Pro is a monthly subscription, charged in advance through a Razorpay recurring mandate (card or UPI Autopay). It renews every month until you cancel.
- Price changes. A new price applies only to new subscriptions. An existing subscription continues at the price you agreed.
- Delivery. Pro is a digital service. It switches on in your account as soon as the first payment is confirmed, usually within seconds. Nothing is shipped.

Payment details go from your browser to Razorpay and never reach this service. Razorpay's own terms apply to the payment itself.
Fair use
Please do not:
- scrape the service or query it in bulk by automated means;
- share one account among several people, or resell access;
- try to get around the usage limits or the security of the service;
- upload material you have no right to share, or use the service for anything unlawful.
An account that does these things may be suspended. If it holds an active Pro subscription, you will be told why, and the subscription will be cancelled.
Availability
Saul is run by one person on a single server. It is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. A paid plan's limits will not be reduced during a period you have already paid for.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on anything the service shows or generates. In any case, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Changes and governing law
These terms may change as the service does. A change that affects what you have paid for applies from your next renewal, never partway through a period. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
